Ingredients
- 4 whole chicken legs
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 pound of guava jam
- 1/2 cup of Clamato
- 3 tablespoons hot sauce
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1/4 cup of grated onion
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 cup of ketchup
- 1/4 cup vinegar
- 1 cup of water
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a blender blend the garlic and the onions with a tablespoon of water until well crushed.
- In a pan put oil to medium heat and add the onion and garlic paste. Cook for about 5 minutes. Add the hot sauce, which can be replaced with jalapeños or eliminated if you do not want it spicy. Add guava jam, ketchup, Clamato, vinegar and cup of water, let it cook on low heat for 30 minutes.
- Season thighs with salt and pepper and place them on a hot grill. Let it cook for 10 minutes on each side. Using a brush for grilling brush the thighs with sauce and let cook for 5 minutes on each side.
- Serve and accompany with avocado slices.
