Ingredients
- Chicken Burgers:
- 1 lb. ground chicken
- 4 ea. burger buns
- 4 ea. romaine lettuce leaves, tear in half horizontally
- 1 ea. large tomato, sliced
- 2 ea. garlic cloves, minced
- 1 T. vegetable oil
- 1-1/2 t. dijon mustard
- 1 t. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 t. ground cumin
- Pinch adobo
- Pinch turmeric
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Filling:
- 1 ea. Avocados From Mexico, mashed
- 1/2 c. Swiss cheese, grated
- 1 t. Italian parsley, chopped
- Pinch salt
- Pinch pepper
- Pinch dried oregano
Instructions
- Filling: Mash avocado and add cheese, parsley, spices and herbs. Mix to combine. Taste and adjust seasoning if desired. Set aside.
- Chicken Burgers: In a medium bowl, combine ground chicken, spices, mustard and garlic. Mix to combine. / Take a teaspoonful of mixture and cook in a pan. Taste to check flavor and adjust seasoning if necessary. / Take approximately 2 tablespoons of burger meat mixture and press a dimple in the middle. Add 1 teaspoon avocado cheese filling and cover it with chicken mixture to form a patty. / Heat a skillet to medium-high and add oil. Place patties in pan and cook for approximately 3-4 minutes per side or until no longer pink inside. / Warm the buns in skillet to desired toastiness, top bottom bun with 2 slices lettuce burger, tomato slice and chicken burger patty. Then, evenly distribute remaining avocado cheese filling on top of each patty. Add top of bun, plate and serve.
