Carne Asada Tacos

INGREDIENTS

  • 6 EA Tortillas, street taco, white corn
  • 1/2 lb Strip skirt steak
  • 1 EA Avocados From Mexico, sliced
  • 1/2 EA Jalapeño, finely chopped
  • 1/2 EA Onion, diced medium
  • 1/2 T Lime juice, optional
  • 1/4 t Chili powder
  • 1/4 t Cumin
  • To taste Salt and pepper
  • To garnish Cilantro, chopped

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Season steak with chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat a medium, heavy skillet over medium-high heat until hot. Cook steak until browned on both sides but still pink inside.
  3. Transfer to cutting board to rest and cut steak into slices.
  4. Lay tortillas on a plate and evenly distribute steak, onion, and avocado. Garnish with cilantro and lime juice.
