In 2013, thousands of Mexican avocado farmers partnered with U.S. importers to farm a non-profit marketing organization — Avocados From Mexico.

Since then, we’ve been sharing the good taste, good health, and good times that only Avocados From Mexico can provide.

Rooted in Collaboration

Avocados From Mexico is supported by two key organizations: 

APEAM

Representing 34,000+ Mexican avocado growers, 54,000 orchards, and 90+ packing houses, APEAM is the only association in Mexico cleared by the USDA to export avocados to the U.S. 

MHAIA

Consisting of hundreds of U.S. importers and distributors, the Mexican Hass Avocado Importers Association (MHAIA) ensures the health and food safety of every avocado that comes to the U.S. from Mexico.

FOR THEMSELVES:

Demand for Avocados From Mexico has grown exponentially since our start in 2013, thanks to seven crazy-successful Big Game promos. In 2024, the U.S. consumed 2.5 billion pounds of Avocados From Mexicoover 1 billion pounds more than in 2012. Y’all eat our ads up! 

2015 First Draft Ever

In our rookie year, our Big Game ad featured the world’s first draft Mexico picked the avocado. The campaign scored 845 million impressions enough to fill America’s largest stadium nearly 8,000 times! 

2016 Avos in Space

Our second Big Game ad ever revealed that even aliens from outer space love Avocados From Mexico. People on Earth liked the ad, too. During the Big Game, #AvosInSpace was the second-most used hashtag on Twitter. 

2017 AvoSecrets

Turns out that even the most secret of societies can’t keep the secret that avocados contain good fats. Our third Big Game campaign generated nearly 4 billion total impressions, our best year yet at the time. 

2018 Guac World

In our fourth Big Game ad, a utopian future ran on avocados. #GuacWorld became the game’s top hashtag, and we ranked No. 1 in Merkle’s Digital Bowl Report for the first time. 

2019 Anything for Avocados

People will do anything for Avocados From Mexico, like compete in a role-reversed dog show for a trophy filled with guacamole. For the second time in three years, our Big Game campaign generated nearly 4 billion impressions in 2019. 

2020 AFM Shopping Network

Molly Ringwald starred in a mock infomercial featuring luxury avocado accessories our first Big Game campaign to integrate digital assets with blockchain. 

2022 Coliseum Tailgate

It’s Always Good when you add Avocados From Mexico, even at an Ancient Roman pre-game party. Online, we launched the digital “House of Goodness” and our largest multichannel shoppable campaign to date. 

2023 Adam and Eve

Holy Guacamole! We proved Avocados From Mexico really do make everything better, from the Garden of Eden to the “Big Avocado.” This year’s PR campaign featured a first-ever live ad reveal on the TODAY Show. 

8 in 10 Avocados In The U.S. Come From Mexico

In just seven years, Avocados From Mexico has doubled U.S. imports of Mexican avocados — from 1.2B pounds in 2014 to nearly 2.5B pounds in 2023¹. Today, more than 80% of avocados in American stores and restaurants come from our orchards.
