Representing 34,000+ Mexican avocado growers, 54,000 orchards, and 90+ packing houses, APEAM is the only association in Mexico cleared by the USDA to export avocados to the U.S.
MHAIA
Consisting of hundreds of U.S. importers and distributors, the Mexican Hass Avocado Importers Association (MHAIA) ensures the health and food safety of every avocado that comes to the U.S. from Mexico.

Demand for Avocados From Mexico has grown exponentially since our start in 2013, thanks to seven crazy-successful Big Game promos. In 2024, the U.S. consumed 2.5 billion pounds of Avocados From Mexico— over 1 billion pounds more than in 2012. Y’all eat our ads up!
In just seven years, Avocados From Mexico has doubled U.S. imports of Mexican avocados — from 1.2B pounds in 2014 to nearly 2.5B pounds in 2023¹. Today, more than 80% of avocados in American stores and restaurants come from our orchards.
