Cubano Guac Bagel

A garlic butter toasted egg bagel loaded with a zesty Cubano guacamole studded with crunchy dill pickle, whole grain mustard, cilantro, and fresh lime juice, layered with crispy golden hashbrowns, crispy bacon, sliced griddled ham, and melted Swiss cheese

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 ea. Egg bagel
  • 0.33 c. Cubano Guacamole
  • 2 Tbsp. Cilantro, fresh
  • 1 ea. Hashbrowns
  • 2 pc. Bacon
  • 2 Slices Ham, fried
  • 2 Slices Swiss cheese
  • Cubano Guacamole:
  • 1 c. Avocados from Mexico, stage 3, pitted, peeled, smashed
  • 1 Tbsp. Stone ground mustard
  • 0.13 c. Dill pickles, diced
  • 0.5 Tbsp. Cilantro, picked and minced
  • 1 Tbsp. Orange juice, fresh
  • 2 Tbsp. Lime juice, fresh

INSTRUCTIONS

For the sandwich:
  1. Slice and toast bagel.
  2. Heat hashbrowns, fry ham, fry bacon.
  3. Melt Swiss over hashbrowns, bacon and ham.
  4. Load bagel with guacamole, cilantro, cheese covered ham, bacon and hashbrown.
For the guacamole:
  1. In a large bowl, smash avocados with a fork to form a chunky mash.
  2. Fold in all remaining ingredients and mix with a spatula until fully combined.
