Ingredients
- Bratwurst with Avocado Giardiniera
- 6 ea. Hot Dog Buns, Split Top, Warmed
- 6 ea. Bratwurst (See Below)
- 1 1/2 c. Avocado Giardiniera (See Below)
- Bratwurst
- 1 T. Olive Oil
- 2 c. Yellow Onion, 1/2" Slices
- 1/2 t. Kosher Salt
- 1/4 t. Black Pepper, Ground
- 6 ea. Bratwurst, Raw
- 1 ea. Lager Beer, 12-oz Can
- Avocado Giardiniera Mash
- 1 c. Avocados From Mexico, Stage 4, Mashed
- 1/2 c. Mild Giardiniera, Prepared, Roughly Chopped
Instructions
- Bratwurst with Avocado Giardiniera Directions:
- Build each sandwich in the following order and amounts.
- 1 Each Hot Dog Bun, Split Top, Warm
- 1 Each Bratwurst
- 1/4 Cup Avocado Giardiniera
- Bratwurst Directions:
- In a medium sauté pan over medium heat, heat the olive oil until it begins to shimmer.
- Add the sliced onions, kosher salt and black pepper to sauté until the onions are translucent.
- Add the bratwurst to the pan with onions and cover with lager beer. Bring the mixture to a simmer. Reduce the heat and cook bratwurst until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F.
- Once cooked, transfer bratwurst to a medium-high preheated grill. Grill for 5 to 10 minutes until browned.
- Serve immediately.
- Avocado Giardiniera Mash Directions:
- In a medium bowl, whisk all the ingredients together until they are all evenly combined.
- Hold in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to use.
