category. Under Alvaro’s leadership, AFM
has led the growth of U.S. avocado
consumption to more than 2.5 billion
pounds per year, and today, 8 in 10
avocados in the U.S. come from Mexico.

Miguel joined Avocados From Mexico (AFM) as CFO in 2014. He has used his in-depth knowledge of operational strategies, controls, financial planning, and analysis to build a strong financial foundation for the company. This solid foundation has increased productivity and allowed flexibility for the company’s growth. He is a strategic advisor to senior management at AFM and his role has expanded to include analytics, strategy, negotiation, and the advancement of business and customer knowledge.
Stephanie leads the Shopper & Trade marketing areas for Avocados From Mexico (AFM). Under her leadership and strategic vision, AFM’s Trade and Market Development department has driven Mexican avocado demand and has accelerated the avocado category growth to reach record levels. As a bilingual professional with over 20+ years of marketing experience in domestic and international markets, Stephanie has extensive experience in a vast array of industries, including food and beverage, entertainment, and retail.
Ivonne has led the digital marketing eﬀorts for Avocados From Mexico since 2014. She built AFM's digital marketing practice from the ground up with an innovative approach rooted in digital transformation and integration of disruptive technologies. Under her leadership, AFM's digital marketing practice has become a benchmark for the industry and has helped position AFM as one of the most innovative produce brands globally. Our digital work has won multiple accolades and recognitions, including being the only brand to be ranked as one of the top two "Best Digital Super Bowl Campaigns" for five consecutive years by the Merkle Bowl Report (from 2016 through 2020).
David joined Avocados From Mexico in 2019 and leads fresh avocado innovation, education and inspiration for Foodservice by helping put fresh, delicious avocados on menus across the country. He manages AFM's Culinary Center, AvoEatery, education and training programs, foodservice communications, the Fresh Seal program, culinary innovation initiatives and the partnerships with foodservice operators. David is also a chef and has more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry.
Ana joined Avocados From Mexico (AFM) as the Director of Corporate Communications and Crisis in 2020. Her international business and U.S.-Mexico relations experience has helped her develop AFM’s corporate communication strategy, consolidate the company's narrative for consistency and alignment, and build AFM's corporate communications area. As a public aﬀairs professional, Ana has more than 20 years of experience in corporate and political communications, international aﬀairs, and media relations, and has worked in a variety of industries including government, education, aviation, and health.

These teams reinforce the front lines of avocado shopping. Their promotions, in-store campaigns, and branded merchandising programs help educate consumers on avocados. They develop and activate trade programs for 150 traditional grocery stores across the country.

Our Corporate Communications team manages corporate, public, and media relations and streamlines communication and messaging among AFM's many stakeholders. This department also acts as our liaison with AFM's founding organizations, APEAM and MHAIA.
