Bacon and Avocado Topped Ham Sandwich with Avocado Dijonnaise Spread

  • 1/2 Avocados From Mexico fully ripened, thinly sliced
  • 4 slices smithfield® bacon
  • smithfield® anytime favorites™ ham
  • avocado dijonnaise spread (recipe below)
  • 4 slices of artesian bread
  • 3 oz. thinly sliced cheddar or colby cheese
  • 4 thick ripe tomatoes, sliced
  • green leaf lettuce or arugula
  • salt
  • Avocado Dijonnaise Spread 
  • 1 Avocado From Mexico
  • 2 tbsp. dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp. mayonnaise
  • 1/2 tsp. white wine vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp. kosher salt


  1. Toast bread sliced until golden.
  2. To assemble the sandwiches, spread the Avocado Dijonnaise mash over slices of bread.
  3. Layer Smithfield® Anytime Favorites™ Ham, cheese, tomato and lettuce over the bottoms of the rolls.
  4. Top with avocado slices.
  5. Season lightly with salt.
  6. Set the top of the rolls in place and serve.
  7. Avocado Dijonnaise Spread Instructions: 1. In a bowl, mash avocado with a fork until very smooth. 2. Add dijon, mayonnaise, vinegar and salt and mix until well combined. 3. Spread onto sandwiches.
