Elevating Summer Favorites with Avocado

Elevating Summer Favorites with Avocado

Posted May 24, 2017

The ways you can prepare and serve an avocado are only limited by your imagination — the diverse fruit should not be confined to dips and garnish. Instead, you can add a dash of the fresh, creamy taste of avocado to your menu’s summer staples.

As the weather changes and your menu adapts, handheld favorites like hamburgers, hot dogs, and sausages become an increasingly popular item; with all consumed most often between Memorial Day and Labor Day. But you can add a new layer of fresh flavor to your customers’ favorite summer fare with some tasty Avocados From Mexico. In addition to livening up these summer menu items, each avocado add-on provides up to a $2 boost per item to help improve your bottom line. Introduce these add-ons to your customers to take your menu from “meh” to “mmmmmm!”

  1. Cut open the avocados and use a spoon to scoop the flesh out of the skin, discarding the pit.
  2. In a small bowl, smash avocado, chives, and lime juice together until you reach desired consistency.
  3. Serve as hamburger topping.
