  • 1 bag Mission® Strips Tortillas Chips
  • 4 ea. Avocados From Mexico, medium-size, ripe
  • 1/2 ea. Small red onion, diced small (about 1/3 cups)
  • 1/4 c. Fresh cilantro leaves, chopped small, plus more for topping
  • 1/2 c. Roasted green chiles, chopped small
  • 2 ea. Garlic cloves
  • 1 T. Fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 t. Kosher salt
  • 1/4 t. Ground cumin
  • 1/4 t. Cayenne pepper, adjust to taste
  1. Peel and cut the avocados into 1/2″ pieces. Lightly mash with a fork, leaving plenty of chunks.
  2. Dice and chop the onion, green chiles, and cilantro. Add to bowl with the lime juice, salt, cumin and cayenne pepper. Stir to combine and taste.
  3.  Adjust the lime, salt, and pepper as needed. Sprinkle with additional onion and cilantro.
  4. Tip: You can use jarred or canned green chiles for this recipe or you can roast your own fresh chiles. For added spiciness, season with your favorite hot sauce or chili flakes.
